Affiliate Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is maintained in English only. The English version is the legally binding one — any other language is provided for reading convenience only.

This policy covers how we handle data for participants in the CouplesGPT Affiliate Program (the "Program"). For privacy of CouplesGPT end-users (people who chat with CouplesGPT), see the general CouplesGPT Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

The Program is operated by CouplesGPT. Privacy questions about the Program go to affiliates@couplesgpt.ai.

2. What we collect from affiliates

Account info — your name, email and password hash.
Your tags — the referral slugs you create, and how many visits each one has received.
Earnings and payouts — every commission we record, its source (Stripe / App Store / Google Play), the underlying invoice id, the amount, its lifecycle status, and (once payouts go live) the payment method details you give us and any tax forms we are legally required to collect.
Basic technical data — login timestamps, IP address, and language / timezone, needed to run the dashboard and to detect fraud or abuse.

3. What we collect about people who click your link

When a visitor lands on couplesgpt.ai/<your-tag>, we set a long-lived referral cookie (re-issued every visit so it effectively never expires) and record their IP address as a fallback attribution signal for cross-device signups. If they create a CouplesGPT account we link that account to your tag for future commissions; if they pair with a partner we link the partner too, so a renewal paid by either half of the couple credits you. We do not share the visitor's identity, conversations or any account details with you — your dashboard only shows aggregate counts (visits, referrals, active subscribers) per tag.

4. How we use affiliate data

To run the Program — track referrals, calculate commissions, pay you, and detect fraud.
To send Program-related email — account, payout, tax-form and policy-change notices.
To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Promoting the Program with anonymised or named earnings. We may use aggregated or individual earnings data to promote the Affiliate Program itself — for example, "our top affiliate earned $X last month", case studies, leaderboards, success-story interviews, public testimonials and social posts. Anonymised, aggregate or ranged figures may be used without further notice (we'll never expose data that could identify you on its own). If we want to attach your name, brand, photo, channel or specific earnings to a public promotion, we will ask first and you can decline. By participating in the Program you consent to the anonymised / aggregate use described here.

5. We do not sell your data

We don't sell affiliate or visitor personal data to anyone.

6. Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted providers — for hosting, payments (Stripe / Apple / Google), email delivery and, when launched, payout processing. They handle data only as needed to provide their service to us.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your affiliate data while your account is active and for as long as we're legally required to retain financial records afterwards (typically up to 7 years for tax purposes). You can close your account any time by emailing us; we'll delete what we're not legally required to keep, and anonymise the rest. Cleared commissions earned in good faith remain payable.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live — and in line with GDPR for affiliates in the EU/UK — you can request to access, receive a copy of, correct or delete your personal data. Email affiliates@couplesgpt.ai and we'll help.

9. Children

The Program is for adults (18+) only.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the "last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be surfaced in your dashboard.
